JIOTD – Share a Video Update of you and your Team
One thing that always comes through from both consumers and high street businesses is that there are personal connections between them. One thing that independents have that huge multiples don’t is the human touch.
So make the most of this, especially where consumers may not have visited your store for several months during Lockdown.
Post short videos of you and yourself, talking directly to your shoppers, to update them on your opening hours, the distancing methods you have incorporated into the premises, any changes to your hours you have implemented, especially changes to help those who have been avoiding contact, the new products you have – anything that will help them understand how you are ready and waiting to see them again.
These is easy to shoot on your own mobile phone. No special equipment is needed to do this. A bit of thought in planning the script will help it go smoothly, but even so, expect to have to do this one or two times to make the finished product as good as possible.
Then get it out there where it can do its work. You can use social media, your own website, even a link in an email. Or you can do all three. What do you have to lose?
