The Small Business Saturday Inspire Series will travel to London for a free workshop on how to protect your brand and IP with Karen Holden from A City Law Firm.
If you are setting up a business or are already trading you will likely spend a great deal of time & money on your brand. Why allow competitors to use this and piggy off your goodwill? Make sure you own that name, logo or slogan because for example:
- It avoids the costs of re-branding if you later find someone already has your name or worse they ‘own it’
- Investors will want their funds protected by knowing the IP is secure as collateral
- The value of IP increases if you own it and it’s in a clear IP portfolio
Karin will explain how you protect it , when you should be registering it , what can and can’t be registered and how you stop someone using your IP.
